Pizzeria 1955 | La pizza come una volta – Authentic Venetian Pizza & Warm Hospitality in Mestre

Pizza heaven! We tried this restaurant at lunch time but decided to book a table for dinner for 7 of us. The food was delicious, staff were so polite and pleasant. Prices were fantastic and couldn’t grumble at all. Atmosphere was warm and enjoyable. A large beer was definitely large!

We came here in the evening; they open for dinner at 7:30 pm. Amazing food — the pizza and pasta were excellent. We were lucky enough to get the last tiramisu of the day, and it was fresh and incredibly tasty. If we have time, we will definitely come back. Highly recommended, especially the waiter, who was very kind and attentive.

Went here for dinner and it was so good we came back a few days later! Our server was very nice and attentive. Excellent drinks and the best pizza we had in Venice. The outside seating at this restaurant is in a very chill courtyard and is perfect for a night out in Venice Mestre. Definitely come here if you are staying in the area.

Love this place! Tasty, huge portions, and crocchette di patate stoled my heart

My husband and I came from Los Angeles to celebrate our 10th anniversary in Italy, and Venice was our first stop. We are so glad we found this spot for a light, local-vibe dinner. While checking out other restaurants, the pizza on the tables at Pizzeria 1955 caught our eye and choosing it was the best decision. We ordered the Bosco Segreto and the Irresistible Salad. Omg, the burrata was the best we have ever had. Honestly, we don’t know how we’ll eat burrata in the U.S. again The pizza needs no explanation, they truly know what they’re doing. The cheese, tomato sauce, Italian sausage, and the crust were all amazing. They also served complimentary hot focaccia (basically pizza crust without toppings), wow, wow, wow! We wanted to eat it all, but we knew we wouldn’t be able to finish both the pizza and salad otherwise. We ended the night with tiramisu, which was delicious, and were even offered limoncello as a gesture of hospitality. We felt so blessed. Thank you so much, Pizzeria 1955. We wish you all the best and will definitely visit again when we return to Italy.

Very very good pizza. I had dinner here once solo and then came back the next night with my girlfriend. I had the Diavola pizza both times.

Absolutely amazing Italian food! We ordered carbonara, lasagna and a Diavola pizza and the taste was way beyond our expectations. The service also is amazing, warm and very helpful. The stuff even that the place was crowded and had a lot of reservations made their best to find us a table. The guy went outside of the restaurant and found us in order to tell us that he found as a table finally! Amazing hospitality! Thanks very much for the food and the warmness.
